Ceol na hInse

Ceol na hInse is an original stage show featuring the best of Irish music, song and dance. Performed by some of Ireland's top traditional artists, the show will take you on a musical journey of reels, jigs and polkas, songs of love, loss and celebration with dancing so electrifying, it's sure to get your feet taping and your heart racing! And that's just the first part of the show... after a break for refreshments in Cois na hAbhna's traditional Irish Cistin then it's your turn to take to the floor with the dancers as you learn for yourself some traditional Irish sets like 'The Siege of Ennis' and 'The Walls of Limerick'. And if, after all that, there's a song you'd like to sing, then there's time for that too. But whether you join in yourself or just sit back and enjoy the nights fun, one thing is certain... with Ceol na hInse you're sure to expeirence the very best of Irish traditional entertainment and hospitality! Willie Clancy Summer School

The Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy is Ireland's largest traditional music summer school, held annually since 1973 in memory of the piper Willie Clancy. During the week, nearly a thousand students from every part of the world attend daily classes taught by experts in Irish music and dance. In addition, a full program of lectures, recitals, dances (céilithe) and exhibitions are run by the summer school. Classes includeIrish flute, whistle, uilleann pipes, fiddle, concertina: in fact, all the main Irish trad instruments; plus dancing and uilleann pipe reed making. The tutors are chosen from the most respected players in the Irish musical community. Not limited to just classes, either; during the week numerous recitals and impromptu sessions, even on the street, weather permitting. All in all, well worth a visit.
