Full lineup announced for Montana Folk Festival
The full lineup for the first ever Montana Folk Festival was released Tuesday.
The free festival takes place July 8 to 10 in Butte.
"When we step back and take a look, this may be the best lineup we have had yet," said George Everett, festival director. "A lot of credit from the smooth transition goes to the continued programming assistance of the National Council for the Traditional Arts that has provided continuity in the transition to the Montana from the previous three years of the National. A lot of credit too goes to the expert assistance of Ellen Buchanan of the River City Roots Festival (www.rivercityrootsfestival.com) in Missoula who has done the heavy lifting to get these great acts coming to Montana for all of us to enjoy," Everett added.
