Féile Cheoil expected to attract bumper entries - Corkman.ie
"MILLSTREET Comhalthas Ceolteoirí Éireann host their annual Feile Cheoil in Millstreet Community School on Sunday with a full and diverse programme underway at 12.30pm.
The hosting continues to grow in stature and amongst the diverse range of competitions are classes in Irish Traditional Music, Irish/english Singing, Irish Recitation and Set Dancing catering from under-6 to adult level.
Confined competitions operate from 12.30pm with the open programme underway at 2pm.the confined programme covers the Millstreet Community School catchment area, Millstreet parish Dromtariffe, Kilcorney, Carriganimna, Hollymount & Rathcoole
The set dancing is dedicated to U10/12/15/18 with Figure Dancing entailing Two Hand Hornpipe and two hand Jig. Elsewhere, there are competition age groups for under 8 to 18 in music with Feadog stain and Flute, Button, piano, Accordion, Melodeon, Concertina, Fiddle and Miscellanous.
Also scheduled are Amhranaiocht i ngaeilge, English Ballad, Aithriseoireacht i ngaeilge, Duet, Trio, Polka and Slide."
